
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which we fulfil and deliver orders placed through our website (the “Site”). By purchasing artwork from the Site, you agree to be bound by this Policy as well as our Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Service
1.1 We ship original artworks and limited edition physical prints (“Artwork”) to the United Kingdom and internationally, unless expressly stated otherwise on the product page.
1.2 All Artwork is sold and shipped directly by Rangi Art Gallery (“we”, “us”, or “our”), in our capacity as both gallery and artist.
2. Processing and Handling Times
2.1 Orders are typically processed within 5–10 working days from the date of full payment. Certain limited editions, framed works, or high-value items may require additional preparation time.
2.2 You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched, including a tracking number (where applicable).
2.3 We are not responsible for delays caused by:

Acts of God, customs clearance, strikes, or courier issues;

Inaccurate or incomplete delivery addresses provided by the customer.
3. Shipping Methods
3.1 We use reputable, trackable courier services (such as Royal Mail, DHL, FedEx, or UPS) for all orders.
3.2 Where possible, you may choose between standard and expedited delivery options at checkout. Delivery charges and estimated times will be displayed prior to purchase.
3.3 Framed or high-value works may be shipped via specialist art handlers at our discretion.
4. Packaging
4.1 All Artwork is packed using archival-grade or professional art packaging materials to protect against handling and transit damage.
4.2 The type of packaging used will depend on the nature of the work (e.g., flat-packed, rolled in tubes, crated).
4.3 We take reasonable steps to ensure packaging meets best practices for international shipping, but cannot guarantee prevention of all damage or delay once the parcel is with the carrier.
5. Transfer of Risk & Title
5.1 Risk in the Artwork passes to you upon dispatch, when the carrier collects the goods from our premises. From that point onward, we are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.
5.2 If you elect not to purchase additional shipping insurance (if offered), you acknowledge that you accept the associated risk.
5.3 Title (ownership) of the Artwork does not pass until we receive full and cleared payment for the item.
6. Delivery Times
6.1 Estimated delivery times are as follows (from date of dispatch):

UK: 2–5 business days

Europe: 5–10 business days

International: 7–21 business days
6.2 These are estimates only and not guarantees. Delivery may take longer due to customs clearance or external courier issues.
7. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes (International Orders)
7.1 For orders shipped outside the United Kingdom, you may be subject to customs duties, VAT, or import taxes imposed by your local authority.
7.2 You are solely responsible for payment of any such fees. We are not responsible for delays or costs caused by customs processes or refusal of delivery due to non-payment of import fees.
7.3 We will not mark packages as “gifts” or misstate content values on customs forms.
8. Failed Deliveries & Uncollected Items
8.1 If a delivery is refused or uncollected and returned to us, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. You will be liable for any additional shipping or handling costs incurred.
8.2 If you do not respond to our attempts to rearrange delivery within 30 days, the order will be considered abandoned. We may retain the item and no refund will be issued.
9. Inspection on Delivery
9.1 We strongly recommend you inspect all parcels immediately upon delivery. In the event of visible damage to packaging, you should:

Take photographs before opening;

Notify the courier at the point of delivery (if possible); and

Contact us within 48 hours with supporting photographs.
9.2 Claims for shipping damage made after 48 hours may be refused.
10. Shipping Insurance
10.1 For valuable works, we may offer or require shipping insurance. This will be clearly stated at checkout.
10.2 If you decline optional insurance, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for loss or damage in transit once the item has been dispatched.
11. Liability
11.1 We shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss resulting from delayed or failed delivery;

Damage caused by mishandling after delivery;

Non-delivery due to incorrect address information.
11.2 Our total liability in relation to any order shall not exceed the total amount paid for the relevant Artwork.
